On Monday 11 October 2021, the Commissioner for Public Employment launched the NTPS Mentally Healthy Workplace Framework at the start of National Mental Health Week.
The Recruitment process in the NTPS is designed to select the person who will perform best in the advertised vacancy not the person who performed best in the selection process.
The rank to grade guide assists defence and veterans to compare rank to NT Government classifications and levels. It will also assist selection panel members in their assessment of serving and ex-serving applicants.

On Thursday 24 June the Commissioner for Public Employment launched the NTPS Aboriginal Employment and Career Development Strategy for 2021-2025 alongside the Minister for Public Employment, the Honorable Paul Kirby MLA and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, the Honorable Selena Uibo MLA. We were delighted to have Aunty Bilawara Lee attend the launch and deliver the Welcome to Country.
23 June is the UN Public Service Day and the 2021 theme is Innovating the Future Public Service. We are celebrating this important day by launching the NTPS Workforce Strategy 2021-2026.
A new Commissioner’s guideline has been developed for the NTPS to ensure a more consistent approach to support persons, particular during meetings relating to potential discipline and inability proceedings.
