NTPS Aboriginal employee forum
The Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS) Aboriginal Employee Forum (AEF) is a key initiative within the NTPS Indigenous Employment and Career Development Strategy 2015-2020.
The AEF focuses on exploring current issues and challenges affecting Aboriginal employees within the NTPS. It also provides participants with the opportunity to discuss and contribute ideas into future employment and career development initiatives across the sector.
The first AEF was held in Darwin on 25 October 2016, with 122 employees attending from various agencies across the Territory. Based on feedback from participants, the forum was extended to two days with an additional forum to be held in Alice Springs.
In 2017, the Alice Springs AEF was held on 31 May and 1 June with 70 employees attending and the Darwin AEF was held on 7 and 8 November with 88 employees attending. For further detail about the previous forums, please refer to the evaluation reports below. Please note the forums are based on a workshop style therefore numbers are limited to 100 places.
The next AEF will be held in Alice Springs on 16 and 17 May 2018. Please see agenda below for further information and complete the nomination form to apply. Nominations close Monday 26 March 2018 and are to be returned to the Aboriginal Employment and Career Development (AECD) Division at AECDS.NTG@nt.gov.au.
