The Public Sector Employment and Management By-laws are made by the Commissioner and provide certain entitlements such as leave (paid and unpaid), allowances and remote locality provisions.

The By-laws apply to NTPS employees subject to any applicable enterprise agreement or Commissioner’s Determination that also governs an employee’s terms and conditions of employment.

Guidelines may be issued by the Commissioner from time to time to assist in the interpretation or application of specific By-laws. The following guidelines have been issued:
