Bulletin 13 – Ballot outcome - issued 27 March 2026

I wish to advise the proposed Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement was not approved by the majority of the employees who voted in the ballot process.

The results of the ballot conducted by Vero Voting are as follows:

Next Steps

I acknowledge the outcome of the vote, however, I maintain that the improvements to the terms and conditions of employment, including the compounding pay increase of 12.55% over the term of the Agreement, are a genuine effort to address key issues during the bargaining process, while ensuring a fair and sustainable outcome. This offer balances operational requirements and employee interests in accordance with the NTPS 2025-2028 Wages Policy (Wages Policy).

I will now consider the next steps and remind employees that bargaining is subject to the Wages Policy and constraints of the current budget parameters.
