Bulletin 19 - proposed Northern Territory Public Sector 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement - issued 4 June 2026

The purpose of this bulletin is to distribute the proposed improved proposed Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025–2029 Enterprise Agreement for your consideration prior to casting your vote. Read the proposed agreement PDF (823.1 KB).

To assist you to understand the differences between your current agreement and the proposed new agreement, read the explanatory notes PDF (356.5 KB) highlighting the changes compared with the current agreement.

You should read these documents to understand the agreement you will be voting on when the ballot opens. Printed copies of the proposed new agreement and explanatory notes will be available around workplaces for your information.

This revised offer aligns in full to the recommendation PDF (856.1 KB) handed down by the Fair Work Commission following constructive and productive discussions with the United Workers Union and its delegates over the past 6 weeks, including agreement on the Operating Models and addressing approved staffing levels in Correctional Centres.

My application to the Fair Work Commission under s240 was in an attempt to resolve negotiations in a more timely manner than the last agreement. I would encourage you to read the recommendation and note the significant improvements over the last offer taken to vote in March 2026 and weigh this up in your decision when casting your vote.

Read the details of the full offer.

Please contact Workforce Services on 1800 225 547 or notify your manager if you:

  • need assistance in reading or understanding the proposed agreement
  • do not have access to these documents.
