The ballot for the proposed Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement PDF (1.1 MB) has now opened.
It is important that you have your say by voting on the proposed agreement.
Your vote needs to be received prior to the ballot closing at 10am on Friday 27 March 2026.
All employees who will be covered by the Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement are eligible to vote. You do not need to be a union member to participate in the ballot.

Today, Tuesday 17 March 2026, you will receive an email link from Vero Engagement and Voting Solutions (Vero), providing you with your unique login credentials and details about how to cast your confidential vote.

Why vote yes
I encourage you to give favourable consideration as this offer maintains your existing package of leave and other entitlements, and a range of improvements such as:
- 3% per annum salary increase, which is a total salary increase of 12% over 4 years or 12.55% compounding over the term of the agreement and is maximum allowed under the Wages Policy.
- Continuation of Attraction and Retention Allowance for Alice Springs which has reduced turnover rates.
- New leave provision for Organ Donor Leave and improvements to Personal Leave, Compassionate Leave, Plasma Donor Leave and Leave to Engage in Voluntary Emergency Management Activities.
- Enhancements to Wellness Allowance. Firstly, so it can be used to purchase fitness related equipment in addition to registration/membership costs or other wellness activities. Furthermore, an Additional Wellness Allowance of $250 can be claimed for employees who have completed their Core Training.
- Inclusion of a Core Training clause to acknowledge the importance of mandatory training for the health, wellbeing and capability of the Correctional Officer workforce.
- A clause in the Agreement that commits to examining the difference in duties and responsibilities for Correctional Officers based in a Work Camp.
- Enhancement of Time Off In-Lieu provisions by extending the period to utilise time off in lieu from 8 months to 12 months for all employees. This is currently applied only to employees in Alice Springs.
