Bulletin 11 - Improved offer for new Enterprise Agreement - issued 1 July 2026

In Bulletin 10, I advised that I had submitted a section 240 application to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to seek assistance to resolve the impasse in negotiations for a new Enterprise Agreement.

I am pleased to advise that, following 2 meetings with Mr Bret Hood, Bargaining Representative, and the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU), we have come to an agreed position on a revised offer for a new Enterprise Agreement.

Improved offer

The improved offer provides:

  • backpay of salaries to 15 March 2026, with increases to salary of 3%, 3%, 3.5% and 3.5% of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), whichever is greater, over the life of the Enterprise Agreement
  • new top of band increment points for each level
  • a new service excellence allowance comprising 5% of salary for employees who reach 4.5 or above overall score rating in their performance development plan.

You should read these documents to understand the agreement you will be voting on when the ballot opens. Printed copies of the proposed new agreement and explanatory notes will be available around workplaces for your information.

Next steps

Noting agreement with Mr Hood and the CPSU to support the offer at a vote, a further ballot will be conducted.

On Wednesday 1 July 2026, you will be sent information regarding the proposed 2025 – 2029 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement, including a link to the proposed agreement and an explanatory document highlighting the changes compared to your current agreement.

Hard copies of these documents will also be available throughout your workplace. This will provide you the opportunity to understand the offer and see what improvements are proposed.

The ballot process will be conducted by Vero Engagement and Voting Solutions PTY LTD (Vero) and you will be sent an email by Vero on 4 June 2026, which will provide your unique login credentials and details about how to cast your confidential vote.
