Bulletin 14 - Ballot outcome - issued 23 July 2026

I am pleased to advise the proposed 2025-2029 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement was approved by a majority of employees who voted in the ballot process.

Next Steps

This is a positive outcome as the agreement provides significant improvements to terms and conditions of employment for employees.

Now that the agreement has been approved by the majority of employees who voted, it is necessary to lodge the agreement wit the Fair Work Commission for approval.

The 2025 - 2029 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement will not come into effect until 7 days after the Fair Work Commission approve the agreement.

I am working with the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) to confirm the timing for payment of the first salary increases, which will be backdated to 15 March 2026. We are awaiting the Fair Work Commissioner’s approval of the agreement before the date can be finalised.
