The ballot for the proposed 2025 – 2029 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement has now opened.
It is important that you have your say by voting on the proposed agreement.
Your vote needs to be received prior to the ballot closing at 10am on 23 February 2026.
All employees covered by the 2021 – 2025 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement are eligible to vote.
You do not need to be a union member to participate in the ballot.

How to vote
Today, Monday 16 February 2026, you will receive an email link from Vero Engagement and Voting Solutions Pty Ltd (Vero), providing you your unique login credentials and details about how to cast your confidential vote.

Vero is an independent third-party provider, delivering impartial voting services Australia-wide.
The Vero ballot process ensures all employee personal details, and your vote, remain confidential with end-to-end encryption and anonymity to ensure integrity of the ballot process.
I will advise employees of the ballot result via a bulletin and a notice on the OCPE website.

Why vote yes
I encourage you to give favourable consideration as this offer maintains your existing package of competitive leave and other entitlements, and a range of improvements such as:
- 3% salary increase for the first 2 years with 3.5% in the third year and 3.5% or CPI (whichever is the greatest) in the final year of the Agreement – equivalent to 13.65% over the term of the Agreement.
- Jacana top of band bonuses – once off uplift of $250.
- Reduction of working hours from a 37.5 hour working week to a 36.75 hour working week. This is a 9-minute reduction per day.
- Enhancements to compassionate leave, allowing employees to access paid compassionate leave during periods of approved recreation leave.
- Working from home enhancements, providing each application will be considered on its merit on a case-by-case basis.
- Improvements to accessing the Higher Duties Allowance. JL3 employees and below may now access after the conclusion of the first day.
