Bulletin 9 - Ballot outcome - issued 23 February 2026

I wish to advise the proposed 2025 – 2029 Jacana Energy Enterprise Agreement was not approved by the majority of employees who voted in the ballot process.

The results of the ballot conducted by Vero Voting was as follows:

 Number of Votes
Yes 16
No 51
Total 67

Next steps

I believe conducting a ballot for the new Agreement was the right approach and allowed employees to have their say on the proposed improvements to terms and conditions of employment including the offer of a compounding pay increase of 13.65% over the term of the Agreement. This offer where relevant was consistent with the Fair Work Commissioner’s recommendation for the NTPS General Agreement, while this offer was above wages policy, it is important to note that the wages policy has not changed.

I will now consider the next steps and remind employees that bargaining is subject to the NTPS 2025-2028 Wages Policy and the constraints of the current budget parameters.

Thanks to everyone involved

Thank you to all employees who participated in the ballot. It is important that employees take part in the enterprise agreement process, your involvement is appreciated.
