Negotiations commenced

The first negotiation meeting for a new Medical Officers NTPS Enterprise Agreement was held on the 11 September 2025.

This was a productive meeting attended by the Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation (Northern Territory) and their workplace delegates, representatives from the Department of Health, the Department of Corporate and Digital Development and my office.

The parties discussed the bargaining process and committed to work constructively to finalise a new agreement. It is my intention for this to occur before the expiry of the current agreement on 31 December 2025, and that any offer will be in line with the Northern Territory Public Sector Bargaining Policy 2025- 2028 that was released on 14 February 2025.
