The ballot for the proposed Northern Territory Public Sector Fire and Rescue Service 2025– 2029 Enterprise Agreement has now opened.
It is important that you have your say by voting on the proposed agreement.
Your vote needs to be received prior to the ballot closing at 10am on 20 March 2026.
All employees who will be covered by the Northern Territory Public Sector Fire and Rescue Service 2025– 2029 Enterprise Agreement are eligible to vote. You do not need to be a union member to participate in the ballot.

Today, Friday 13 March 2026, you will receive an email link from Vero Engagement and Voting Solutions Pty Ltd (Vero), providing you with your unique login credentials and details about how to cast your confidential vote.

Why vote yes
I encourage you to give favourable consideration as this offer maintains your existing package of competitive leave and other entitlements, and a range of improvements such as:
- 3% per annum salary increase, which is a total salary increase of 12% over 4 years or 12.55% compounding over the term of the agreement and is the maximum allowed under the Wages Policy.
- New total of $15,000 Retention Payment for employees who complete 3 and 4 years at a Track Station.
- New leave entitlements Including – Organ Donor Leave, Plasma Leave, and Recreation Leave at Half Pay.
- Improvements to medical health and monitoring provisions.
- Enhancements for employees working shift work who transfer between watch groups.
- Improvements to General Fire Fighting, Track Station and Day Command Allowances, to reflect the interaction of allowances when moving between commands.
