Bulletin 16 - Ballot outcome - 15 December 2025

I am pleased to advise the proposed Northern Territory Public Sector 2025 – 2029 Enterprise Agreement was approved by a majority of employees who voted in the ballot process.

Next Steps

This is a positive outcome as the Agreement provides significant improvements to terms and conditions of employment for employees.

Now that the Agreement has been approved by a majority of employees who voted, it is necessary to lodge the Agreement with the Fair Work Commission for approval. I am working with DCDD to confirm the date for payment of salary increases, which is likely to occur in February 2026.

The Northern Territory Public Sector 2025 - 2029 Enterprise Agreement will not come into effect until 7 days after the Fair Work Commission approve the Agreement, noting the Agreement provides pay increases to commence from 17 November 2025.
