I wish to advise the proposed Northern Territory Public Sector 2025–2029 Enterprise Agreement was not approved by a majority of employees who voted in the ballot process.

The results of the ballot conducted by Vero Voting was as follows:

Next steps

I believe conducting a ballot for the new agreement was the right approach and allowed employees to have their say on the proposed improvements to terms and conditions of employment and the offer of 12.55% pay increase over the term of the agreement.

I will now consider the next steps and remind employees that bargaining is subject to the wages policy and the constraints of the current budget parameters.
