I wish to advise the proposed Northern Territory Public Sector Educators’ 2024-2027 Enterprise Agreement was approved by a majority of employees who voted in the ballot process.

The results of the ballot conducted by the NT Electoral Commission was as follows:

Next steps

Now that the agreement has been approved by a majority of employees who voted, it is necessary to lodge the agreement with the Fair Work Commission for approval.

This is a positive outcome as the agreement provides generous salary and allowance increases and significant improvements to the terms and conditions of employment for Educators in the Department of Education and Training.

I will advise you when the agreement is lodged with the Fair Work Commission. Until the new agreement is approved and commences, the current Northern Territory Public Sector Non-Contract Principals, Teachers and Assistant Teachers’ 2021-2024 Enterprise Agreement continues to apply.
