Bulletin 2 - Enterprise Agreement negotiations commenced - issued 25 March 2026
Negotiations commenced
The first negotiation meeting for a new NTPS Nurses and Midwives’ 2022-2026 Enterprise Agreement was held on Tuesday 24 March 2026.
This was a productive meeting attended by the Australian Nurses and Midwifery Federation (ANMF), the Nurses Professional Association of Australia, (NPAA) as a nominated bargaining agent, and representatives from my office, the Department of Corporate and Digital Development and the Department of Health.
The ANMF and NPAA have lodged their log of claims, which are currently under consideration.
I outlined employer-based proposals, including Northern Territory Public Sector ‘common conditions’ that support a well-positioned Enterprise Agreement.
The parties also discussed the bargaining process and committed to work constructively to finalise a new agreement. It is my intention to provide an offer for a new agreement prior to the expiry of the current agreement on 9 August 2026, in line with the Northern Territory Public Sector Bargaining Policy 2025 - 2028.
