Bulletin 5 - bargaining update - issued September 2026

On 15 July 2026, I made an offer for a new Territory Generation Enterprise Agreement. Read the full details of the offer PDF (748.4 KB).

The Single Bargaining Unit (SBU) has not accepted that offer and has requested that bargaining continue. In reaffirming my commitment to reaching an agreement through constructive and good-faith bargaining, I invited the SBU to identify its key priority items and any additional productivity offset proposals that it would like considered.

While I acknowledge the SBU has now withdrawn a number of its claims, it has also provided an extensive list of outstanding items for further discussion.  Many of these claims were identified as having significant associated costs, in excess of the Wages Policy, without any productivity offsets identified.

I have advised the SBU that I am unable to offer a package outside the Wages Policy parameters, however, there are a number of remaining SBU claims that I am willing to discuss further that may be considered as low-cost or no-cost initiatives, as well as a range of operational matters that may be addressed.

Next steps

I have invited the SBU to meet to discuss its outstanding claims.

My objective remains to reach a fair and acceptable agreement that provides benefits for Territory Generation employees while remaining consistent with the Wages Policy and our bargaining framework.

I acknowledge that employees are seeking certainty regarding the timing of the ballot and I look forward to this occurring so that pay rises and new terms and conditions may be implemented as soon as possible.
