I commenced as the Small Claims Clerk at the Magistrates Court in 1988 at the age of 18. In 1989 I moved into the Orderlies Section to commence work as an Court Orderly/Monitor.

In this role I attended many remote circuit courts before taking up the position of Court Officers Manager for 12 months before commencing maternity leave.

On my return I commenced work as the Magistrates Secretary and the Chief Magistrates Secretary working with former Chief Magistrates Ian Gray and Hugh Bradley, during this time I also acted as the Bench Clerk and Listing Registrar before commencing maternity leave for my second child.

On my return I undertook a part time position as Coronial Support Officer and subsequently promoted to Coroner’s Clerk.

I held the position as Coroner's Clerk for 8 years ensuring the administration of coronial services in compliance with the Coroners Act and all Departmental policies and procedures throughout the NT and providing high level administration support to the Coroner and Deputy Coroner and exercise my delegated functions under the Coroners Act.

I am currently the Secretariat/Research Officer to the Child Deaths Review & Prevention Committee (CDRPC) managing the research needs of the Office of the Coroner, in particular those arising from the CDRPC, collecting, inputting, management, analysis and reporting on data relating to child deaths, diseases and accident in the NT.

I have been in the Coroner’s Office for 20 years, and remain dedicated and passionate about the work I do and the importance of the Coronial jurisdiction.
