Power and Water
Not to many people refer to me by my real name - 'Pants' and that is another story!
I was born in Darwin and spent a few years at Lake Nash as a baby, where Dad was a Bush Policeman, and, where I racked up some FF points with the RFDS.
My Mum and younger brother went through 'Tracy', while Dad was on a boat in Indonesia and had our brick house destroyed.
Moved back to Darwin in 1980, and after surviving CHS got an Electrical Apprenticeship with NTEC in 1985 where I went to Katherine OPS, working in both the Power-station and on one of two fantastic Outstation crews.
Many great memories with the 'BushPigs' and Katherine South Footy Club.
Relocated to RGPS in Alice in 1991, then moved to Rural Operations in 1994 where I have been ever since!
Great job, great bunch of people with the ability to swap the office chair for a swag on the odd occasion.
I am married with three awesome young men still at home (food donations greatly appreciated!). Career highlights and achievements include Nomination for NTEC Apprentice of the Year, Katherine OPS de-commissioning, working with a great Remote team, untold Genset and Main Switchboard replacements, completing 300+ skydives, and, whilst working from home in 2020, had an epiphany in regards to ANZAC day veterans and in 2 days organised a drive-by for a 99 year old 'Rat' with 750+ cars full of Alice Springs families was mind boggling and hugely satisfying!
