My Home Town Is Alice Springs, I was born and bred in this beautiful town.

I was employed under Commonwealth Department Health & Community Services. In 1993 I started with Department of Health 28 years ago.

I started as a Public Servant in 1979, 42 years ago.

I worked in many areas throughout the Department as, CDC Aboriginal Sexual Health Educator, ADSCA Living With Alcohol Program as a Community Facilitator, Aboriginal Nutritionist, Aboriginal Promotion Officer to my current position as Strong Women Strong Babies Strong Culture Coordinator.

Other positions I have held in the organisation have been withSexual Health, Living With Alcohol Program, Chronic Disease Program Nutritionist, and Aboriginal Health Promotion.

In my current position The SWSBSC Program is a bi-cultural, community development program that respects and support the Aboriginal way of promoting good health in women and babies during pregnancy and early parenting. The need to improve; early attendance for pregnancy care, nutritional status and interventions for smoking and alcohol consumption during pregnancy.

A position that has meant the most to me, that I enjoyed the most was the Strong Women Strong Babies Strong Culture program. Working in communities with young mums and bubs being a grandmother/great grandmother myself can be a challenge sometimes with the younger generation first time mums in community settings.

Prior to my time in Health I worked in Education for 16yrs with students all over Northern Territory at Yirarra College.
