Joined Police force in 1980, (Police remembrance day) with squad 33, along with 33 others from all over.

Served Alice Springs 1981-82 & Dec 1984-Dec 1987.

Ayers Rock & Yulara 82-84 7th full time member in history.

During these times, relieved at Santa Teresa for 6 months, Hermansberg x2, Harts Range, Kulgera x 2, Yuendumu x2 including July 82 Riots & siege of Police Station.

Tennant Creek 1987-90, as a shift supervisor, divisional Prosecutor & OIC Ali Curung & PPCT defensive tactics instructor.

Palmerston & rural general duties as shift supervisor & PPCT defensive tactics instructor, including OIC Adelaide River & Palmerston lpo 1990-93.

Katherine 93-94, as Shift supervisor, OIC Ngukurr, Pine Creek x 2 , Kalkaringi,

OIC Kalkaringi 94-95.

October 2013-2020, Constable Dispatch & Triage Constable Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre(JESCC).

Nov 2020 to present Op SERPRO data cleansing unit.

Highlights:

1. Defence & Siege of Yuendumu Police Station July 1982, prior to telephones, broken up by our pet dogs.

2. Locating and arrest of escaped fugitive Casper GREEN at the unknown Indurintja outstation May 1988, who’d been on the run for 3 years for the attempted murder by rifle at point blank of Constable S. PRIOR & breaking out of cells.

3. Defence & siege of Ali Curung Police Station & clinic, June 1988 by group of 9 armed gunmen, where a Police wife & Walpiri elder were issued station revolvers & all filing cabinets & furniture used to barricade glass front from ballistics, resulting in arrest of 4 becoming matters of Case Law, POORE V all 4 & all in favour of Police & the People. They now form part of Detective & Prosecutor training courses.

4. Starting from scratch The Ayers Rock & District Social AFL football club 'Yulara Bulldogs' in 1984, as playing coach & fundraiser.
