Glenn Wightman

Glenn Wightman began work at the NT Herbarium as a botanist in 1982 at Berrimah Research Farm. In 1990 his focus turned to working with senior Aboriginal knowledge custodians recording traditional knowledge of plants and animals in different languages.

Glenn has completed books relating to 67 Aboriginal languages, that include over 300 elders as co-authors. He has totally enjoyed his 40 years working with countrymen recording plant and animal knowledge, and has been lucky to travel a lot in the Northern Territory and meet lots of great elders, public servants and Territorians.
