Power & Water Corporation

I arrived in Darwin with my husband and two children in 1981 so he could set up a branch of Mack Trucks. I worked at Buntine Roadways and then BHP (Coronation Hill Project) until May 1994 when I moved into the Public Service.

In June 1994 I obtained a position in the Logistics Branch of the Power and Water Authority and this became the Facilities Unit and I have remained there as the Power and Water Corporation's Fleet Co-ordinator for the past 30 years with a fleet of 495 vehicles and plant. The highlight has been the opportunity to work in a very interesting and varied position covering all aspects of fleet management for a Corporation which has always provided a great workplace to be a part of.
