Maureen Hill

Department of Health

I commenced with NTG 23rd November 1993 in RDH Switchboard as a 24/7 Switchboard Operator which I held this role for 15yrs before going into Management within the RDH Switchboard and then appointed as Voice Communications' Technical Support officer/RDPH voice delegate 20/08/2020. I have had great pleasure in working in both these roles and which I am still in the current role.

Overall, this time I have experienced many challengers and changes within RDH as to updated technology's within all areas especially switchboard, Dr's starting of as Interns only to come back years later as a consultant, experiencing anyone emergency that may arise especially not forgetting the BALI bombing in 2002 and remembering the amazing team efforts of the RDH switchboard team, upgrades within the structure of RDH and privileged to be able to assist in the communications of PRH being constructed.

Over the years I have worked with a fantastic team within RDH switchboard and also all staff within both campus's and to see the many new faces come and go to say that 30yrs plus is a long time to work in one area I can honestly say I feel privilege and have enjoyed every moment of this and met some fantastic people along the way.

I hope to be able to continue with my services in this role for a few more years and look forward to what the future may hold and never forget the experiences that I have achieved over all these years with more to come I can only say thank you to all the wonderful people that I work with daily whether it be replacing a handset or a page communicating in a hallway and anything else they may have come my way.

Thank you all for allowing me to achieve this wonderful experience.
