NT Police Force

As a born and bred Territorian, having grown up in Darwin, I’m very proud to have achieved 35 years of service in the Northern Territory Public Service. It is also great to see many others being recognised for their own milestones, especially those I have worked with and are familiar with through my own journey. I started with the Department of Health back in 1988 on a short-term contract as an Internal Courier and progressed to working in Payroll where I gained my permanency. I worked there for many years and was involved in and saw many changes and improvements along the way. The inception of the Department of Corporate and Information Services in 1998 provided an opportunity to move into the Recruitment space and in particular the Advertising and Systems Administration roles. From there a few years doing Recruitment and Training projects, before returning to the DOH in 2012 for the roll out of eRecruit. This opportunity then evolved into doing Workforce Policy projects and Workforce Compliance and Workforce Reporting roles including restructuring and realignment projects/roles. In 2023 a transfer of workforce roles from Health into the Department of Corporate and Digital Development has now resulted in an opportunity to contribute to the creation of the Establishment Management team going forward. I would like to acknowledge the leadership, mentoring and friendships of those that have contributed to my reaching this milestone, there have been so many……and hopefully there will be a few more before this comes to an end.
