Support and counselling

If you work for the Northern Territory Government, professional and confidential counselling services are available.

These services are funded through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

All employees, including immediate family are eligible to access the EAP. Immediate family includes current partners and dependants.

Services are available in:

  • Darwin
  • Katherine
  • Nhulunbuy
  • Tennant Creek
  • Alice Springs.

What you can get help for

Help is provided for the following:

  • personal and workplace relationships
  • mental health
  • depression
  • anxiety disorders
  • family disintegration
  • marital problems
  • alcohol and substance misuse
  • gambling and other addictions.

Additional intervention type professional services are available such as:

  • conflict management
  • mediation
  • critical incident response
  • trauma counselling.
