Aboriginal Employee Mentor Program
The Aboriginal Employee Mentor Program (AEMP) is a key initiative within the Aboriginal Employment and Career Development Strategy 2021 to 2025 PDF (15.4 MB).
It is a 12-month program designed to:
- support a mentee’s personal and professional goals by matching them with a suitable mentor
- be led by a mentor and mentee so they can form a mentoring agreement that best suits them.

Who can get involved
To be a mentor, you must be a Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS) employee from middle management (AO5 and above).
If you would like to be a mentee, you must identify as Aboriginal and be an NTPS employee of any level.

- Mentor Workshop – Nhulunbuy, 6 and 7 May 2025, Flinders University Campus – Training Room
- Mentee Workshop – Nhulunbuy, 8 May 2025, Flinders University Campus – Training Room
