Executive contracts

The Commissioner for Public Employment sets the terms and conditions for NTPS employees including executive contract officers (ECOs).

Determination 5 of 2019 PDF (319.7 KB) set out terms and conditions for contracts entered into after 23 April 2019.

Determination 5 of 2023 PDF (1.1 MB) supports these conditions by providing pay rates, and lump sum payments (in August 2023 and August 2024), as well as range of leave entitlements available under the Northern Territory Public Sector 2021-2025 Enterprise Agreement.

Four-year wage freeze provisions

Determination 10 of 2019 PDF (482.4 KB) sets out terms and conditions for ECOs subject to the 4-year wage freeze.

Wage increase assurance provisions for ECOs subject to the 4-year wage freeze are set out in Determination 12 of 2019 PDF (31.1 KB).

Determination 6 of 2023 PDF (1.3 MB) supports these conditions by providing lump sum payments (in August 2023 and August 2024), as well as range of leave entitlements available under the Northern Territory Public Sector 2021-2025 Enterprise Agreement.

Principal level executive contracts

Determination 1049 of 2023 PDF (1.7 MB) set out terms and conditions for principal level executive contracts (PLECs), including pay rates and a range of leave entitlements available under the Northern Territory Public Sector 2021-2025 Enterprise Agreement.

Determination 8 of 2023 PDF (906.8 KB) provides lump sum payment provisions for PLECs (in August 2023 and August 2024).

These guidelines apply to contracts covered by Determinations 5 of 2019 and 10 of 2019 except for remuneration provisions, which are determined separately by the Commissioner for Public Employment.
