Executive contracts
The Commissioner for Public Employment sets the terms and conditions for NTPS employees including Executive contract officers.
Executive contract officer (ECO) terms and conditions of employment are set out in Determination 13 of 2011 PDF (268.5 KB) for contracts entered into before 23 April 2019.
Three year wage freeze provisions
Determination 5 of 2019PDF (319.7 KB) set out terms and conditions for contracts entered into after 23 April 2019, which are subject to three year wage freeze provisions. Wage increase assurance provisions for ECOs subject to the three year wage freeze are set out in Determination 14 of 2019 PDF (133.0 KB).
Four year wage freeze provisions
Determination 10 of 2019 PDF (482.4 KB) sets out terms and conditions for ECOs subject to the four year wage freeze. Wage increase assurance provisions for ECOs subject to the four year wage freeze are set out in Determination 12 of 2019 PDF (31.1 KB).
Lump sum payment for ECOs and ECPs, and other terms and conditions
In line with lump sum payments provided to employees under the Northern Territory Public Sector 2021-2025 Enterprise Agreement, Determination 2 of 2022 PDF (1.7 MB) (for three year ECO wage freeze provisions), and Determination 3 of 2022 PDF (1.1 MB) (for four year ECO wage freeze provisions), provide for lump sum payments to ECOs. These Determinations also provide alignment of some ECO conditions with senior administrative officer 2 conditions.
Determination 4 of 2022 PDF (632.1 KB) provides lump sum payment provisions for executive contract principals (ECPs) for three and four year wage freeze provisions, for ECPs employed under Determination 1027 of 2021 PDF (3.0 MB).

These guidelines apply to contracts covered by Determinations 5 of 2019 and 10 of 2019 except for remuneration provisions, which are determined separately by the Commissioner for Public Employment.
