Ballot open – have your say
The ballot for the proposed Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement has now opened.
It is important that you have your say by voting on the proposed agreement.
Your vote needs to be received prior to the ballot closing at 10am on Monday 29 June 2026.
All employees who will be covered by the Correctional Officer (NTPS) 2025-2029 Enterprise Agreement are eligible to vote. You do not need to be a union member to participate in the ballot.

Why vote yes
I encourage you to give favourable consideration as this offer aligns to the Fair Work Commissioner’s recommendation in full and maintains your existing package of competitive leave and other entitlements and a range of improvements such as:
- Guaranteed pay and conditions:
- pay increases of 3%, 3%, 3.5% and 3.5% or CPI (whichever is greater
- first salary increase backdated to 23 April 2026 with the next pay increase to occur 2 December 2026.
- Wellness and fitness capability allowance:
- can be used to purchase fitness related equipment
- $1,000 reimbursement available to all employees to support wellness, with an additional $1,000 available to Dog Squad and IAT to support fitness capability.
- Leave provisions:
- new organ donor leave
- improved blood donor leave
- Improved time off in lieu provisions with 120 hours able to be accrued and used within 12 months
- improved personal leave to cover medical attendance and preventative health matters
- improved leave to engage in voluntary emergency management activities
- improved compassionate leave provisions.
- Employer commitments
- assessment of work camp correctional facilities
- commitment to continue workplace reviews to enhance employee wellbeing and reduce operational impact of absences
- core training requirements into the Agreement.

Today, Monday 15 June 2026, you will receive an email link from Vero engagement and voting solutions, providing you with your unique login credentials and details about how to cast your confidential vote.
