New executive development services launched

The Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment (OCPE) has launched its new executive career discovery and coaching services.

The services have been designed exclusively for NTPS executives to help with their professional growth through coaching, support and development.

Coaching and mentoring services

Executives can access 5 coaching and mentoring services based on best practice and supports leadership skills:

  • self-assessment and reflection
  • coaching
  • diagnostic assessment and interpretation
  • career guidance and development
  • mentoring.

In conjunction with the Capability Framework and Executive Leadership Development Framework, these services will:

  • enhance the professional growth and empowerment of executives
  • benefit the whole NTPS workforce and the services provided.

Background

The initiative forms part of OCPE's priorities within the NTPS Workforce Strategy 2021-2026. The sector requires leaders who:

  • recognise leadership as a job in its own right
  • coach and develop others
  • bring out the best in our people.
