New NTPS Capability Framework launch

The Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS) Capability and Leadership Framework (CLF) has been completely refreshed and a new NTPS Capability Framework (CF) has been launched.
About the new CF
The new CF:
- describes the capabilities and associated behaviours expected of all NT public sector employees
- provides our diverse public sector a shared language to describe the capabilities needed for effective performance across all classifications, occupations and organisations.
Regardless of our role or profession, the purpose of our work is to serve Territorians, the NT Government, and to put customers at the centre of everything we do. Each of us is accountable for developing our capability so we can continue to meet our purpose in an environment of change. The CF will help everyone to do this.
The CF is supported by a range of great resources, including an online Capability Discovery Tool that enables people to assess their capability, and share the assessment with their manager.
The CF and the Capability Discovery Tool supports NTPS employees to:
- have performance conversations
- develop their capability
- plan and drive their careers.
Implementation of the CF is a key action bringing our NTPS workforce strategy to life. It’s part of the roadmap for how we grow our people, and will help us to have the right people, in the right places, at the right time. It is also the underpinning framework to ensure we have a highly capable, flexible, sustainable and future focused workforce.
Training
Face-to-face and online information sessions on the new CF will be provided by OCPE over the coming months.
