Commissioner's guidelines
Guidelines may be issued by the Commissioner for Public Employment.
How they apply
They are designed to:
- assist in the interpretation of public sector terms and conditions
- to promote best practice in their application.
Guidelines don’t form part of legislation.
They may relate to:
- provisions under the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993 or
- those under enterprise agreements operating in the Northern Territory Public Sector.
The commissioner has issued guidelines in relation to some PSEMA employment instructions.
