Aboriginal applicants

If you are an Aboriginal applicant you can apply under a special measures plan.

You must provide a signed statutory declaration of Aboriginal status for NTPS employment with your application.

Aboriginal applicants selected under a special measures plan must also produce confirmation of Aboriginality prior to commencement.

The NT Government is committed to using veterans’ talents and providing meaningful work after their military career.

Selection process

The selection process is finished within 6 weeks of the date of advertising.

The streamlined process improves the quality of the selection process.

All applicants will:

  • get a high standard of candidate care and
  • be fully informed of the selection outcome.

Key changes to the process includes:

  • shorter job applications
  • not interviewing all shortlisted applicants
  • providing information about why the preferred applicant was selected.
