COVID-19 public sector unsung heroes

Our unsung heroes: who are the behind the scenes heroes in the NT Public Service? See who is helping keep us safe.

In responding to a public health emergency there are many public servants working "behind the scenes" to keep the community safe and to keep business going. This work is critical, but it's not always obvious.

There have been many hours spent by many public servants, often working in partnership with NGOs, volunteers and business peak bodies, in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result the NT is now the envy of the rest of Australia.

We have been able to lift many restrictions much more quickly than in other parts of Australia due to this work and to our community doing the right things.

In celebrating UN Public Service Day I would like to thank and publicly acknowledge all of the public servants who quietly got on and did the job they were asked to do in responding to COVID-19.

If you would like to nominate an NTPS employee as a COVID-19 unsung hero, please contact us on enquiries.ocpe@nt.gov.au.

And, I would like to introduce you to some of our COVID-19 public sector unsung heroes.
