Achieved actions or programs

  • Promoted appropriate workplace behaviours training online, with 35 employees completing the Disability Confident Workforces and 129 employees completing the Disability Confident Managers course as of June 2023.
  • Promotes the Annual NT Disability Services and Inclusion Awards.
  • Launched a new Health@Work internal intranet page including information on inclusion and diversity.
  • NT Health introduced a values based approach to foster a 'safe, responsive, kind' culture that encapsulates what NT Health values.
  • NT Health promotes events and participates in activities such as Hands Up for Inclusion that raise awareness of diversity and support inclusive workforce practices.
  • The number of NT Health employees who self-identify as having disability has remained relatively stable over the last 2 years – 68 as at July 2021 – this number is under-reported, e.g. People Matter Survey respondents totalled 77.
  • NT Health consistently employs people under the Disability Employment Program since 1994 36 people with disabilities through the program as of June 2023. In the last two year period 5 people have been employed with two currently employed with NT Health
