Achieved actions or programs

  • Reviewed building facilities to ensure the Ombudsman’s office tenancy is accessible and has adjacent accessible bathrooms.
  • Meeting rooms located next door to Ombudsman tenancy meet accessibility standards and are first preference for Ombudsman events.
  • Actively promotes and celebrates International Day of People with Disability.
  • Fire wardens actively confirmed requirements for PEEPS for people with additional accessibility requirements, these requirements will continue to be reviewed regularly.
  • All staff provided electronic height adjustable desks and offered anti fatigue mats to improved ergonomics and employee wellbeing.
  • Unconscious bias training offered to all staff who have not recently completed, agency will continue to offer this training and encourage staff participation.
