Actively encourage employees with a disability to 'identify' by updating their myHR details.

A demonstration on how to update details in myHR will be provided at an initial staff forum, and reminders provided periodically.

The action will improve data accuracy, and lead to reporting that better reflects the department's workforce.Ongoing
CE level messaging around inclusion, diversity and workplace flexibility to all staff annually. Messaging will be by email to all staff and included in a HR Bulletin. In conjunction with the actions above, disability awareness will be increased.Annually

Achieved actions or programs

  • DLA has implanted a Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy and a committee running a range of activities over the last 12 months.
  • Purchase and installation of electronic height adjustable desks and desk risers at the employee's request to improve ergonomics and employee wellbeing.
  • Induction checklist updated for new employees providing guidance around EEO principles, the availability of workplace adjustments and disability training and programs.
  • Reallocation of car parks, where possible, to assist employees with mobility issues.
