Achieved action or program

  • Promotes Women in Leadership seminars, Darwin’s Pride Festival.
  • On 2 December 2022, DTF hosted a LinkedIn Learning Launchpad training session on supporting workers with disabilities.
  • Fire Warden and First Aid training conducted bi-annually for new and existing Fire Wardens and First Aid Officers.
  • Promoted the Northern Territory Public Sector Improper Conduct training, supporting anti-discrimination and disability confidence, with the promotion of the Disability Confident Managers training and Health and Wellness Month on the staff intranet.
  • Promoted the following on the staff intranet and newsletter:
    • Outcomes of the 2021 People Matter Survey
    • DTF’s People Matter Survey Action Plan
    • Equal employment opportunity changes.
  • All fire wardens and first aid officers were provided with awareness training and support to ensure they can meet the needs of any staff with a disability who may require assistance in their designated area.
